La Haute Côte-Nord, QC
Join me for a week in one of my favourite regions of Québec: La Haute-Côte-Nord. This is the ultimate Canadian wildlife experience — a mix of birds, landscapes, local culture, and discovery.
Duration: May 22 to May 29, 2025
maximum of 5 participants
“A week in La Haute-Côte-Nord is never the same twice.
Some people come for photography, some for birds, some just for the adventure — and I build the experience around you.”
Here’s what the week looks like:
Lodging: You will be lodged in a comfortable Airbnb in town near the action.
Daily guiding: Every day we’ll explore my favourite spots, at your own rhythm — from classic birding areas to hidden gems I’ve found over the years.
Nature interpretation: Learn about the birds, mammals, insects, and trees that shape this region.
Photography support: Want to focus on photography? I’ll help you with that. Prefer to just watch wildlife? That works too.
Whale watching: Optional, but highly recommended — this is one of the best places in Canada to see them.
Local discoveries: Visit small villages, enjoy good local food, watch sunsets in the best spots, and even browse antique shops for a break between outings.
THE Birding highlight:
This area is famous for migration fallouts — when weather pushes thousands of songbirds, especially warblers, down into the trees all at once.Suddenly the woods are alive with birds everywhere you look. With my experience reading the weather and knowing the terrain, we’ll put ourselves in the best spots to catch that action.
It’s a trip full of adventures. Every day brings new surprises — shorebirds, waterfowl, and countless other migrating birds passing through.
You’ll head home with great memories (and probably a few new favourite birds).
