my story
I’m truly passionate about wildlife photography, and birds are at the center of that passion. One of my strengths in the field is identifying bird calls and songs by ear, which lets me find and follow species that might otherwise go unnoticed.
My background is in biology, and I’ve had the privilege of working on long-term seabird monitoring projects at Middleton Island, Alaska. That experience deepened both my scientific perspective and my appreciation for observing wildlife carefully over time.
Photography is just one part of my multidisciplinary approach—I also work with graphic design and education, using each of these tools to share wildlife in different ways. I began photography five years ago, and it quickly became a daily practice.
What I strive for most in my work is capturing behavior and presence—whether it’s a bird bracing against rain, holding steady in the wind, or carrying out the small details of daily life. Those moments, honest and in context, are the ones I aim to preserve through my images.
